All power systems comply with health and safety requirements and are tested and tagged prior to hire release.

Generators - Specifications

All units are:

Diesel units 10 – 2000kVA.
Silenced, and housed within sound attenuated canopies.
Super silenced and Ultra Silenced units also available, suitable for film & TV production.
Various sizes available in 50 or 60 Hertz frequencies and voltage regulation.
Skid mounted for easy loading/unloading.
Sizes 10 – 70kVA also available as trailer mounted.
Extremely fuel efficient.
All units have hard wire connection busbars, single and three phase outlets with individual RCD protection.
Certain units with DS6 Cutler Hammer/ Marechal or Power Lock outlets.

Power

Event Power and Light are able to provide temporary Power Generation and Distribution to any site or application, be it in Adelaide or any other place in South Australia. Whether it is a Rock Concert, Catering, Television Broadcast, Construction site, Film set, Industrial facility upgrade or Mains Fail Standby power, Mining Camp or Operation, even a visiting US Warship running 60 Hertz power can be accommodated.

We can supply Generator sets ranging from 1 - 2000kva, as skid or trailer mounted units. All units have single or single and three phase outlets, plus busbar poles for hardwiring. Units can be either Silenced, Super Silenced or Ultra Silenced, the latter being suitable for the film industry. All electrical equipment like generators offered for hire is tested and tagged for compliancy to State Regulations every three months and tested before every hire service.

We have the capacity to load share and sync units together to better service unique applications i.e. Mining Camp operations. Fuel efficiency is paramount to the selection of portable generators for our fleet and we are conscious of delivering this information when costing projects with our clients. A large proportion of our fleet is capable of delivering a 50 or 60 hertz frequency with a voltage regulation range of 350 – 480 volts per phase. This enables us to service the "odd ball" situation that arises when providing power for a visiting ship or imported specialised plant. We believe this capability makes us unique in this state.

Power Distribution and Accessories

The best configuration for our clients Power Distribution can be planned and implemented. Whether it is a single phase distribution board, Cable sets for connection to a building power board, 32, 50, 63amp outlets or Power Lock sets, we pride ourselves on holding a vast number of configurations of leads and outlets. Safety on any site is vital, cable mat trays are available to decrease the risk of injury with operating cables neatly and safely stored. Self Bunded Fuel Cells are also available for external connections to generators where run times are extended.
